Amazon already often sells items for less than many other retailers’ prices. But some online tools are out to save you even more money.
The following websites, smartphone apps and browser extensions can increase your savings when shopping on Amazon. They’re also all free.
All apps mentioned are available for Android and Apple devices. All browser extensions mentioned are available for multiple web browsers.

One of the best ways to take advantage of deals is to have the opportunity to check them instantaneously. The Amazon App connects to your Amazon account, so you can use it to check the latest deals and place orders right away. For — who have access to some deals before other shoppers do — this can be especially helpful.
You can also use the app to update your Amazon shopping list and track your orders.

The app Ibotta offers cash rebates and sometimes other discounts on things you buy at many brick-and-mortar and online retailers, including Amazon. We recently saw Ibotta offer 2.5 percent to 5.5 percent cash back on certain purchases from Amazon.

To view the app’s current cash-back offers and deals for Amazon, just open the app and select Amazon.
If you don’t want to use a smartphone app like Ibotta to earn cash rebates, at least use a cash-back website like Ebates when shopping online. Otherwise, you’re missing out on free money. Even if you don’t think it’s much, cash back adds up over time.

This cash-back portal is similar to Ebates, though it tends to offer higher cash-back rates. We recently saw TopCashback offer 4 to 10 percent cash back on certain Amazon purchases.
TopCashback also offers more payout options than Ebates. For example, you can opt to receive your cash back as a gift card instead of cash. It also gives you the option of a direct deposit into your bank account.

Swagbucks, like other cash-back sites, allows you to get money back when shopping on Amazon. Technically, you collect points called “SBs” for Amazon purchases, but you can redeem them for cash via PayPal or for gift cards.
